Responsible for selling product & services to a wide range of accounts and customers\\. Accountable for proactively expanding customer base\\. Responds to complex customer inquiries providing education and solutions using our product portfolio and services\\. Supports the development of short and long term sales plans, prepares sales strategies to reach/exceed annual objectives\\. Delivers exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and recommending solutions; working well with our fulfillment teams to meet commitments\\. Engages, develops and may directly lead other Services Account Managers\\.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following\\. Other functions may be assigned\\.
+ Utilizes Account management process to identify key customers and to develop specific action plans to grow identified accounts\\.
+ Identifies potential opportunities with existing and new customers\\.
+ Collects project data and compares to the office s capabilities\\.
+ Converts leads into opportunities by assigning the appropriate sales process, identifying the required project team members, making assignments, and communicating the next steps in the process\\.
+ Develops relationships with multiple buying influences in the customer s organization, including project managers, project engineers, construction, purchasing, and accounts payable\\.
+ Ability to drive a technical solution for a project
+ Gathers and validates preliminary information and performs facility walk\\-through, construction plan review or other requirements\\.
+ Determines project needs, constraints, and responsibilities to meet all of the customer s HVAC system design and installation requirements\\.
+ Develops, evaluates, and discusses possible solutions with customer\\.
+ Develops preliminary project fulfillment schedule\\.
+ Responsible for project take\\-off, selection, pricing, and integration of equipment, controls, and services\\.
+ Responsible for the preparation and review of the proposal\\.
+ Validates the preliminary proposal with customer\\.
+ Determines proposal price and selling strategy\\.
+ Reviews and compares contract terms and conditions with Trane contract standards\\.
+ Presents the proposal and negotiates price, terms, and conditions with customer\\.
+ Follows up with buying influences\\.
+ Prepares transition documents and communicates project readiness for assignment to operations team\\.
+ Resolves major deviations from scope with team after Project Scope Validation\\.
+ Determines needs, develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable and successful partnership\\.
+ Provides total account business activity reports and annual forecasts\\.
+ Provides knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer s problems, including financial and performance\\-based considerations\\.
+ Consistently ascertains customer needs and current market opportunities\\. Assembles, coordinates and interacts with sales team as needed for customer penetration and project acquisition\\.
+ Coordinates with consulting engineers in writing project specifications\\.
+ Coordinates with Estimators in the interpretation of specifications and preparation of proposals\\.
+ Responds to customer needs by identifying systems, products, generating quotes and closing orders\\.
+ Authorizes replacement, credit, or refund as necessary to facilitate the refund/exchange process including negotiation of back charges and customer disputes\\.
+ Assists customers in answering technical questions on HVAC systems, Trane products, and system application alternative, BAS, installation, operation, maintenance, and problem resolution\\.
+ Recommends account assignments within the team\\.
+ Responsible for coordinating account coverage \\(assigning primary and secondary Account Managers\\) and maximizing share of available customer business\\.
+ Assists Sales Manager in performance monitoring and appraisal of team members\\.
+ Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members\\.
+ Responsible for communication flow between team members and business leadership team\\.
+ Schedules, coordinates, plans, and leads team meetings on a regular basis\\.
+ Flexibility to work outside normal work hours, as required\\.
Bachelor's degree in engineering \\(preferred\\), business or equivalent from four\\-year college or university; completion of the Trane graduate training course; or equivalent combination of education and experience\\.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents\\. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community\\. Ability to write business reports, equipment specifications and correspondence\\. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors\\.
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry\\. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations\\.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions\\. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables\\.
Valid Driver s License & record, Proof of personal insurance
This position works in a typical office environment with visits to other offices, plants, and job sites\\. Frequent outdoor travel is required to visit customers\\. During visits to job sites, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, climbing ladders and working at heights and risk of electrical shock\\. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate\\.
