Position Summary
As a member of the Transport Crew, assists in meeting the physical and emotional needs of ill and injured patients. Promotes safe and efficient operation of Flight For Life.
Education Requirements (i.e., BSN, High School Diploma, GED)
:High School Diploma or GED;
Work Experience
:3 years experience as a Paramedic provider in the pre:hospital area with a 911 response agency
:2 years experience driving an ambulance
:Clean driving record for the past two years
License/Certifications (i.e., RN, ARRT,BLS, ACLS, BLS)
:Colorado State Paramedic Certification required.
:ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate); PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification) or within 6 months of hire/transfer date.
:TPATC (Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course) or ATLS (Advanced Trauma Life Support) within 12 months of hire/transfer date
:NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) within 12 months of hire/transfer date
:C:FP (Certified Flight Paramedic) Within 2 years of hire/transfer date.
:Must maintain currency in all certifications required by CAMTS, (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems)
:Valid Driver's License and pass the annual Pre Check review of their driving record for safe vehicle operations.

:Assists in providing a safe environment essential to the health and well:being of all individuals in the air medical transport environment, including universal precautions, air and ground safety.
:At the direction of the Flight Nurse, assist in performing a rapid survey of life threatening conditions as well as secondary physical assessment, including medical history, current medications, and allergies.
:In consultation with the Flight Nurse, assists in prioritizing and planning appropriate transport care.
