Job Description 13;
Responsible for performing a variety of technical support duties in one or more manufacturing areas. Duties may be related to installation, maintenance, repair and support of manufacturing equipment, technical support of one or more production processes, product test and troubleshooting, and technical analyses and problem:solving. Conducts tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems. May design and/or build tools. Disciplines:
:Machinery and Equipment: Supports multi:discipline manufacturing processes with respect to the repair, maintenance, installation and/or enhancement of a select group of machinery and equipment or interrelated systems.
:Process/Product/Production: Provides technical support in the area of chemical, electronic or mechanical operations, tests, experiments and/or problem resolution associated with components, parts, products or processes/systems.
:Fabrication: Responsible for performing a variety of technical support and/ or production duties with respect to wafer fabrication or related devices/ equipment, processes and handling systems.
:Test and Repair: Tests and calibrates and/or repairs and monitors and/or installs and diagnoses equipment, systems, and/or assemblies. Works from guidelines and standardized procedures/instructions. May design/build tools.
:Determines and develops approaches to manufacturing technical assignments and processes
:Responsible for technical duties which require planning and judgment
:Solves a broad range of manufacturing technical problems of varying scope and complexity
:Consultation and customer feedback
:Process Data collection, analysis and follow up actions
:Process Quality monitoring and Quality assurance
:Design and build new tools and fixtures
:Lead continous Process improvement efforts. 13;

:May require some higher education or specialized training/certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
:Typically minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant experience for entry to this level.
:Requires complete understanding of general and technical aspects of job.
:Demonstrate an understanding of all variables (chemical, electronic, mechanical, material, Human etc.) that contribute to a successful process. Has the ability to utilize this knowledge to quickly identify the best course to resolve process problems or develop process solutions.
:Demonstrate a strong teamwork attitude while building positive and productive relationships with the engineering team, fellow technicians, production operators and other stakeholders.
:Understand typical production metrics (yield, defects, SUT, SPC CoPQ, etc) and be able to identify and setup critical metrics that reflect the health and effectiveness of specific processes.
:Understands the need to be flexible to accommodate shcedule changes, resource constraints, priority shifts, interrupts, and other issues that are common in a production and NPI environment.
:Exhibit strong accountability and ownership for the results from the area of responsibilities and demonstrate the willingness to assist other team members in achieving resolution to issues.
:Has experience in solving a broad range of technical problems of varying scope and complexity, with an organized and systematic approach.
:Proficiency in using both hardware and software tools to assist in technical problem solving.
:Experience with complex high precision machineries including installation, repair, maintenance, software programming and trouble:shooting equipment issues.
:Demonstrate good communication (verbal and writing) skills with experience in writing failure analysis reports and operating procedures.
:Demonstrate strong initiative as well a pro:active approach in identifying and resolving issues both as an individual contributor and in a team setting. 13;
