Position Summary
Designs, analyzes, interprets and coordinates studies for medical staff, service lines and departments. Assists in identifying best practices for transfer across the organization and facilitates the redefinition of practice parameters, which improve quality and reduce costs. Coordinates peer review for assigned medical departments. Promotes education and develops competencies pertaining to safe patient care.
Education Requirements
:Bachelors Degree required
:Master's Degree preferred in Health Science or Business Administration
Work Experience Requirements
:5 years clinical and/or relevant systems and performance improvement experience
:Must have understanding of healthcare financing, budgeting and costing
:Must have knowledge of medical terminology, disease processes, and CQI methodologies and ability to abstract data from the medical record
:Must have experience using databases and spreadsheets and facilitating teams
:CPHQ certification preferred or obtained within 2 years, skills in Rapid Decision Making and Six Sigma methods preferred or obtained within 2 years
Physical Requirements
Sedentary Work : prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally.
