Position Summary:
Further develop aerospace related business with current customers and diversify / expand to new platforms and customers. Self:motivated with experience coordinating across multiple groups within an organization and outside the organization at the customer level. The successful candidate will work directly with customers to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget, and coordinate with the organization to ensure all aspects of each project are compatible to fulfill client needs. Essential Position Functions:
:
Identify and develop new business opportunities with current customers and new prospective customers.
:
Develop full upfront definition and work to clarify the specific customer requirements of each project as the need arises during development.
:
Provide cost, price, scope and leadtime information for submittal to customer. Involve internal groups as necessary for input and project collaboration. Pricing data must support margin targets as identified by the executive team.
:
Follow up on quotations with customers and prospects on a regular basis to track and report status to executive team.
:
Maintain metrics (KPIs) for sales and quotation activities to be reported on a regular basis.
:
Conduct weekly customer status meetings as needed or as dictated by the customer. Manage customer communication.
:
Read, understand, and support discussions for all customer related specifications.
:
Support internal customers (engineering, operations, quality, shipping, etc) to insure successful completion of related project tasks and information flow.
:
Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to track, assign ownership, and ensure completion of project tasks related to aerospace projects.
:
Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short: and long:term goals.
:
Be involved with/lead New Product Development meetings with a group of cross:functional team members.
:
Assist with the development of comprehensive project plans (Gantt Charts) to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
:
Gain access to all customer portals in order to retrieve information and submit customer documentation.
:
Approximately 25 travel.

Relevant Work Experience
A minimum of 5:10 years business development and project management experience in Aerospace. Experience working with large Aerospace companies is a plus.
Education Level
Bachelors degree in engineering and MBA preferred. Other degrees and relevant technical experience will be considered.
Other Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
:
Excellent attention to detail is a must. Ability to read product drawings, CAD models and understand detailed specification requirements.
:
Strong computer skills. Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office products. Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Project knowledge is a plus.
:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Must be able to present ideas, requirements and results effectively throughout the organization, and externally, on a timely basis.
:
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to make recommendations and decisions.
:
Team oriented style.
:
Good interpersonal skills. Seeks input and listens, and takes the time to explain recommendations.
:
Strong engineering skills with a desire to learn business processes.

30 Days:

Obtain functional knowledge of Visual ERP system, and RMB New Product Introduction process.

Complete one week of work on the shop floor.
:
Complete all safety and RMB specific training.
:
