The Office Specialist will provide diversified administrative secretarial duties for the department. Organizes, manages and carries out administrative tasks including routine and complex support needs. Coordinates multiple projects within specified time frames. Responsible to assist with scheduling patients, update and coordinate patient information. Promote patient confidentiality by screening incoming phone calls and all incoming visitors/patients to the office. Provide information regarding programs to referring MD's and facilities.
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
:1 year previous Patient Scheduling, Registration experience.
:Scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
:Customer service and strong telephone communication skills.
:Experience/comfort dealing with the public, medical terminology, clerical skills (including computer competence).
:A basic knowledge of CPT/ICD:9 codes.
:Experience with computers and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Powerpoint8 years RN clinical practice with varied settings of experience including acute care, homecare and long:term facility care experience, preferred.
:Sedentary Work : prolonged periods of sitting and exert/lift up to 10 lbs. force occasionally)
:Light Work : exert/lift up to 20 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently)
