Job Description
Job Summary

The Earthworks Estimator provides quantity and value estimates through quantity survey, data entry, basic reading and understanding of drawings, specifications and geotechnical reports.

As an Earthworks Estimator, you will:
:Assemble drawings, specifications, soil reports and bid instructions for project review.
:Analyze civil, architectural and structural drawings for information to determine scope of work.
:Provide quantity takeoff for all aspects of earthwork procedures.
:Solicit material quotations from vendors.
:Solicit subcontractor pricing and analyze the scope of work for
inclusions/exclusions and specification compliance.
:Provide vendor and product research, when required.
:Set up estimate bid items, activities, crews and production to generate price analysis.
:Estimator close:out including Sub/Supplier quote comparisons.
:Prepare bid proposal submittal.
:Prepare sketches, illustrations, and composites for use in estimate.
:Research and pursue work leads.
:Attend jobsite walk:thru activities.
:Prepare site visit reports.
:Add to and maintain supplier, subcontractor and service databases for estimating resources.
:Support information for field operations usage.
:Prepare construction schedule.
:Participate in bid reviews.
:Gathering, sorting and organizing data and documents.
Minimum Requirements
:Ability to accept fulltime employment in Colorado Springs or Denver
:Valid Drivers License and reliable transportation
:Associate in Applied Science degree, Civil Engineering Technology, Building Construction Technology, or equivalent
:Proficient use of Agtek, HCSS Heavy Build, Bluebeam, Autocad Civil 3D
:1 + year full:time civil construction experience
:Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word, and Project
Skills and Attributes
Strong math skills, thoroughness, collaborative personality, team:work focus, flexible, communication proficiency, ability to work independent with minimal supervision, attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies, strong organizational skills
